"Wake up Jimmy, its time to get up," mommy said.
"Good morning Mr. Sosa," Mrs. Sosa said.
"Good morning Jen," mom said.
"Good morning Mr. President," Mrs. Obama said.
This morning, kids woke up to go to school. My newly wed friend prepared lunch for her husband. Today, another teen held back from her parents love as a any other teen does. All this while Barack Obama woke up as the new president of the United States of America.
In other words... It seems that North America has made their voice heard. Yesterday, election day 2008, an unpresedented number of individuals voted for a new president and for or against certain propositions. The results: Barack Obama is to be our next president of the USA. As far as it seems, marriage is still valued as a male and female commitment, not a same sex decision. Teens will most likely make decisions that affect and effect others... in the matter of life and death, teens will have to make up their mind in regards to keeping a pregnancy or not; with or without the permission and the knowledge of this decision making from their parents.
While it is now know that Obama will be the new president. The ongoing count of ballots seems to bring out what we value in North America. It seems that proposition 8 will win pro having marriage being represented by a male and female union. Propositon 4 might pass allowing teens not to have to obtain permission from their parents before undergoing an abortion. While abortion will most likely be allowed, Proposition 2, will defend the life of animals.
Well, "I will continually hope," as the Word says. Hope for the best in this Change. But I know who is in control and I trust Him to have the best for me.
PS: I heard that while the votes are still coming in for Yes on 8, not even determined as a success, already some are questioning the validity of it being a (possible) success. Should I mention, this proposition had been a success before and out of the blue it was added into this ballot again to be re-regarded by the citizens of North America. Democracy....really?
